Concentra Nurse Practitioners diagnose and treat work related injuries, and perform pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations for varied private companies and governmental agencies. Clinicians with primary care and/or urgent care experience a plus. Concentra is looking for a Nurse Practitioner in our Worcester, Westborough, Brockton, and North Andover offices to provide medical services to our employees.
Responsibilities include providing initial first aid for illness and injury incidents; reviewing and evaluating diagnoses and treatment plans relating to occupational injuries and /or illnesses and non-occupational injuries and illnesses as part of an integrated disability management program. The NP would work on a company-developed Medical Database. The NP would provide immunizations (ex. Flu shots, Tetanus) when needed and would be responsible for initiating and maintaining accurate records, appropriate legal documents and other health and nursing care reports. Will also work on Wellness Programs.
Job Qualifications:
-Licensed Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner preferably in
adult health.
-Two years of occupational health experience is desired.
-Specific knowledge of federal and Commonwealth of
Massachusetts health and safety regulations.
-Excellent judgment and decision-making skills for
determination of accurate medical treatment.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with
all levels of the organization.
-Excellent organization and time management skills.
-Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
-Excellent computer skills.
Required Experience
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
* Advanced degree from accredited Nurse Practitioner program
of study.
* Licensed Nurse Practitioner in accordance with state laws
of practice.
