Whipping up wine cocktails

FOX25, myfoxboston - If you're a wine lover, but perhaps you're getting a tad bored or maybe you want to jazz things up a little bit as the summer approaches, we have just the thing for you.

A.J. Rathbun was back on the FOX25 Morning News recently with his wine cocktails.

Recipe: ( Serves 2)

1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped, plus 2 whole strawberries for garnish
1 ounce Simple Syrup
Ice cubes
3 ounces vodka
4 ounces Moselle

1. Combine the chopped strawberries and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, muddle well.
2. Fill the cocktail shaker halfway full with ice cubes. Add the vodka and Moselle. Shake well.
3. Make a small cut in the bottom of the whole strawberries. Now, balance each one (using the cut) on the edge of 2 cocktail glasses. Strain the mixture into the glasses and serve immediately.
