FOX25, myfoxboston - If you're a parent of a teen, you know it's tough, if not impossible to get them out of bed. But as it turns out, you should probably let them sleep.

Research is showing adolescents need more sleep -- more than the usual 8 hours -- to be at their best.

However, most teenagers are not getting close to the amount of rest they need. A new study from the June issue of Pediatrics looks at the effects of caffeine and technology on the sleep patterns of teenagers.

Dr. Gwenn O'Keeffe, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Pediatrics Now recently joined the FOX25 Morning News with details of the study.
