Celiac disease: Symptoms & treatment

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Maybe you've heard of our next subject but have never been clear on what it is. In fact, you could be suffering from celiac disease and not even know it. It's estimated that one in every 100 people suffer from this illness.

Dr. Daniel Leffler, research director of the Celiac Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Melinda Dennis, a registered dietician who has had celiac disease for 20 years and now helps patients manage the disease, recently joined the FOX25 Morning News to talk more about this growing health concern.

Leffler and Dennis are the co-authors of a new book, "Real Life With Celiac Disease," which compiles the latest information on the disease from some 50 world experts.
