EBT Card Fraud Renewed Call to Pass EBT Card Bill

(FOX25/MyFoxBoston.com) - EBT cards stand for electronic benefits transfer cards. It's what the government gives to people who qualify, to pay for food and other similar items they need to take care of their families.

In the last month, authorities have uncovered an increasing amount of fraud, now essentially some are using the cards to get cash and drugs.

Senator Bruce Tarr, a man who's been trying to tighten the rules on these cards, met with us this morning to discuss this issue.
