(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - He's making the budget and spending a top priority as his campaign for the corner office kicks into high gear. And today, Republican candidate Charlie Baker is proposing a plan that would put the cap on spending and boost the ever shrinking rainy day fund.
Baker recently joined the FOX25 Morning News to talk about the plan he’s laying out. FOX25’s Gene Lavanchy also got Baker’s response to a recent ad controversy involving his campaign.
An attack ad was released last Thursday by Baker that made it look like Governor Deval Patrick was evading questions during a live FOX25 interview on Tuesday, provoking claims of lies and distortion by Patrick's campaign. In fact, Governor Patrick couldn't hear most of the questions due to audio problems.
