(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Are DUI laws in Massachusetts too relaxed? In this state, if you refuse to take a breathalyzer test, you will have your license suspended for 180 days. If it’s your second offense, you lose your license for three years.
If you decide to take the test and then fail it by blowing 0.08 or above, you lose your license for 30 days. But is that tough enough?
Some states actually put you in jail if you refuse. Joining us to talk about this issue was David Deoulis from M.A.D.D., hit by a drunk driver 12 years ago, and attorney Russell Matson, a defense attorney who represents many DUI cases.
