BOSTON (FOX25, myfoxboston) - Gas prices in Massachusetts have dropped by 2 cents over the past week, the first decrease in a month.

AAA Southern New England's weekly survey released today showed the average cost of a gallon of regular gas in the state is now $2.70. That's the same as the national average, but 93 cents higher that at the same time last year.

AAA found a low of $2.51 and a high of $2.89.
