NASHUA, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A 19-year-old Everett man was arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened around midnight in Nashua, N.H.
Nashua police arrested Anthony Azera at about 12:21 a.m. and charged him with Second-Degree Assault, Domestic Violence, Class B Felony, Falsifying Physical Evidence, Class B Felony, and Simple Assault - Domestic Violence, Class A Misdemeanor.
Officers were called to the area of Ledge and 4th streets at around 11;38 p.m. yesterday for a report of a stabbing.
After a brief investigation, officers at the scene determined the female victim had been assaulted by Azera and placed him into custody. The incident was investigated by Criminal Investigation Division who determined Azera was responsible for the victim's injury and he had thrown a knife into a nearby catch basin. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.
Azera is being held on $5,000 cash bail pending his arraignment at Nashua District Court tomorrow. A Class B Felony is punishable up to 7 years imprisonment exclusive of fines, while a Class A misdemeanor is punishable up to a year in jail, exclusive of fines.
