BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Three Boston residents have been ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty in the slaying of a pizza delivery driver.

Michel Andre St. Jean, 20, 18-year-old Alexander Emmanuel Gallett and 17-year-old Yamiley Mathurin were held without bail. They did not show their faces in court while answering to charges which included murder. The judge insisted the suspects come out to face the charges, but they wanted to remain behind closed doors.

They are accused of killing 58-year-old Richel Nova.

Police say Nova was called Thursday to a vacant home in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood, where three people robbed and stabbed him. It was not immediately clear if the suspects had attorneys.

Police later found Nova's car, which witnesses say his attackers used to flee the scene. The suspects are due back in court on Oct. 5 for probable cause hearing.

As they were arraigned in court Tuesday, Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Hickman said it was never their intention for Nova to leave "in any other way than a body bag."

Hickman said Mathurin lured him inside by telling him she had to get her wallet.

Hickman said Nova was stabbed repeatedly, and robbed of a small amount of cash and the pizza he was called to deliver.

Defense attorneys did not challenge Hickman's description of the case in court.

A wake is scheduled for the victim for Tuesday between 6 and 7 p.m.
