Cops find pot plants in suspect's home

PORTSMOUTH, NH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston) - A New Hampshire man is charged with growing marijuana after he invited police into his home.

Portsmouth police responded to the home of 27-year-old Jesse Watkins yesterday after neighbors complained about noise.

Watkins invited officers in and that's when police allegedly found five marijuana plants and a bag of pot in plain sight.

Watkins was arraigned and ordered held on $2,500 personal recognizance and $500 cash bail.

He is due back in court on Sept. 21 for a probable cause hearing.
