NASHUA, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) -  A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a stabbing incident near Ledge Street late Wednesday night, according to Nashua Police.

Nashua Police located the victim, whose name was not released, about 11:40 p.m. in the area of Ledge Street and 4th Street, where they responded to the reported stabbing, according to Lt. Jeffrey Bukunt. About 40 minutes later, they arrested Anthony Azera, 19, of Everett, Mass., charging him in the incident.

Azera, 19, faces charges of second degree assault, as well as simple assault and falsifying physical evidence. Police found Azera had thrown the knife into a nearby catch basin, Bukunt said.

Both the second-degree assault and falsifying evidence charges are Class B felonies that are punishable by up to seven years imprisonment.

Azera was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Nashua District Court. He was being held on $5,000 cash bail.
