Gov. Patrick released from hospital

On crutches, but still smiling, Governor Deval Patrick was released from Massachusetts General Hospital yesterday following hip replacement surgery.

The governor will now spend some time recuperating at his family vacation home in the Berkshires.

Patrick says he's on the road to a speedy recovery and is thankful for the support of the citizens of the Commonwealth.
