WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Bail has been revoked for a Worcester man now charged with murder in the fatal beating of his 7-year-old son on Father's Day.

A not guilty plea was entered for Leslie Schuler at his arraignment Tuesday in Central District Court. He was previously held on $250,000 bail on assault charges. A murder charge was lodged after Nathaniel Turner was removed from a hospital ventilator.

The boy's mother, Alicia Turner, sobbed as she watched the arraignment from the front row of the courtroom. Seated with her was Christine Taylor, Nathaniel's maternal grandmother with whom the boy lived in Eufaula, Ala., before coming to Worcester recently to live with his father.

Schuler did not speak and kept his head down throughout the brief hearing. He was ordered held without bail.
