1 killed in apparent drug deal gone bad in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police said one man is dead in Springfield after being shot, then crashing his car in an apparent drug deal gone bad.

Police said 21-year-old Nicholas Hiller of Springfield was killed early Saturday after the bullet passed through his upper arm and into his chest.

Hiller drove off after being shot, but crashed nearby.

Police found him slumped in the car's front seat, unresponsive.

They said a large bag of marijuana was in the back seat.

The murder was the third in Springfield in a week.
