ALLSTON (FOX25, myfoxboston) - A judge has revoked bail for a Boston man charged as an accessory in a fatal stabbing in the Brighton neighborhood.

Prosecutors say the victim, 24-year-old Gregory Phillips, was stabbed once in the heart when two groups fought after leaving a bar early Sunday.

Minutes after the stabbing, police arrested 22-year-old Corey Patterson and charged him with accessory after the fact of murder. He was also charged with assaulting the arresting officers.

On Monday, a Brighton District Court judge revoked bail for an unrelated drug charge, meaning Patterson would remain locked up even if he makes the $200,000 bail set for the accessory charge.

Police said Patterson was in possession of a bloody knife when arrested. The knife is being tested.

Boston police continue to search for more suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing.

Authorities say the Patterson was found suffering from a stab wound outside a convenience store at about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Minutes after the stabbing, police arrested 23-year-old Corey Patterson and charged him with assault and battery, accessory to murder after the fact and other offenses.

Anyone with information related to this matter is asked to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

Community members who wish to supply information in an anonymous manner may do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 800-494-TIPS. You may also text the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
