ARLINGTON, Mass. (myfoxboston) - Several youths were caught at an underage drinking party in an Arlington selectwoman’s home over the weekend, police said.

Police said they got a call for a disturbance at 48 Chatham St., the home of selectwoman Anne LaCourt, at about 11 p.m.

A few youths ran into the home when police arrived, and officers observed beer cans at a playground nearby the home, according to a police report. A “beer pong” table was set up inside of the home and there were more beer cans in the kitchen, according to police.

LaCourt said she did not know anyone was drinking and said she didn’t know where the alcohol came from.

She told FOX25 she was upstairs at the time.

"While I thought I was being vigilant, clearly I needed to be more vigilant," she said in a statement.

The teens were picked up by their parents.

Police said since they didn't see anyone drinking, no one was charged.
