Mass. man drowns in lake

RINDGE, N.H. (myfoxboston) - A man who went out from shore on an inner tube was found dead in 15 feet of water about an hour later in Lake Monomonac, police said.

Jonathan Watkins, 59, of Hubbardston, Mass., left shore at about 6:20 p.m.

Witnesses later called police when they spotted his inner tube floating away, but he was nowhere in sight.

Local dive teams found his body at about 7:40 p.m. and he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled Monday.
