Police say the suspect was a white man of average height. He was wearing black clothing, a mask and sunglasses. Witnesses said he fled in a gray or silver Volkswagen driven by someone else. He stole an undisclosed amount of money.
This is the same Bank of America on 342 Washington St. that was robbed by a man with a gun and a bomb-like device on March 26. That robbery occurred after a bomb scare at a nearby Star Market.
Police say it may be the same person responsible for each robbery. A reward is being offered for the March 26th robbery.
