MASHPEE, Mass. (myfoxboston) - A soccer coach at Mashpee High School was arraigned on statutory rape charges Friday. 22-year-old Stephen Weixler is accused of taking a 14-year-old student to the beach, and having oral sex with her.

Weixler is also accused of sending suggestive text messages to the girl and other students, according to the Assistant District Attorney.

The judge ordered him held on $2,000 cash bail.

Mashpee Supt. Ann Bradshaw said in a statement:
" We do not comment on details related to personnel matters. We are aware of the allegations. The individual has been removed from the building and we are taking steps to terminate him."
