QUINCY, Mass. (FOX25, myfoxboston) - Authorities say an arraignment date has been scheduled for a retired Quincy firefighter charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run on Christmas Eve.

The Norfolk district attorney's office says Paul Daley, 61, will be arraigned on charges of motor vehicle homicide due to negligent operation, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, and negligent driving in Quincy District Court on Jan. 5.

Daley turned himself in Saturday after contacting authorities through his attorney. Police cited him after interviewing him and examining his vehicle.

The victim, 63-year-old Paul Moore of Milton, was found dead early Thursday morning in a snowbank on Robertson Street. Investigators believe he was struck by a car while walking along the road.
