WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. - A man with five OUI convictions was arrested after his boat intruded into a fireworks zone in West Yarmouth, police said.

Police said Jeffrey A. Daluz, 53, of Hyannis, showed several signs of intoxication when he was arrested near the Firework Display Area Security Zone in the Lewis Bay area of West Yarmouth.

He was charged with boating under the influence.

Police said Daluz has been charged seven times for OUI and convicted five times. He also had his Massachusetts operator’s license revoked for life.

He is being held on $5,000 cash bail.

His 22-foot center console Aqua Sport boat was seized.
