FRAMINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Relatives of a 19-year-old Framingham woman who prosecutors say was killed by her husband say waiting for her body to be released by the state medical examiner.

A funeral service for Heather Alleyne is scheduled on Friday but burial will apparently have to wait.

State law gives surviving spouses first priority to receive a body from the medical examiner. In this case the surviving spouse is 25-year-old Kyle Alleyne, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his wife earlier this month.

Relatives of the woman say Kyle Alleyne has not signed a release allowing her family to take custody of the body.

Heather Alleyne's stepsister Jessica Marcheterre says right now it's impossible for the family to have closure.
