Winter hasn't even arrived but the Boston Symphony Orchestra is already planning for summer.
The BSO announced Friday that its 2010 Tanglewood season will begin on July 9 with conductor James Levine leading the orchestra in Mahler's Symphony No. 2.
Former conductor Seiji Ozawa will return to the BSO's summer home in Lenox to lead two concerts, including an All-Brahm's program on July 24.
The Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart will also perform two concerts at Tanglewood to celebrate the orchestra's 125th anniversary, including a July 18 performance featuring folk singer and Massachusetts native Arlo Guthrie.
The BSO season closes on August 29 with guest conductor Kurt Masur leading a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9.
