Four arrested for setting car on fire with Molotov cocktail

MIDDLEBORO (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Four people have been arrested after an incendiary device ignited a fire in a vehicle parked outside a house late Tuesday night.

Multiple emergency calls were received by police at 11:23 p.m. reporting the fire at 16 North St.

An occupant in the house heard a loud noise and ran outside to find fire. Two Molotov cocktails were found at the scene.

The fire had been extinguished when officials arrived on scene, but an "incendiary device" was found at the scene, police told the newspaper.

Nathan Williams, Jr., 20, of Middleboro, Nicole E. Blount, 18, of Middleboro, Joseph Chapwick, 21, of Middleboro, and Joseph Williams, 18, of Fairhaven, were charged with burning a motor vehicle, use of a Molotov cocktail and conspiracy to commit a crime,

No one was injured.

There was a camper fire reported at 3:30 a.m. Monday at 134 North Street. The incident was called in by a neighbor who heard the explosion and saw fire. The camper fire footage is now being looked at as suspicious.

Police say they are not sure if the  two incidents are related. Police say the suspects may have had an ongoing feud with the victim.
