Deadly crash in Boston's Sumner Tunnel

BOSTON - State police say one person died and two others suffered serious injuries in a car crash in the Sumner Tunnel.
Police responding to reports of a single car crash in the tunnel on the ramp to Storrow Drive at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday found two men ejected from the vehicle and one woman still inside. None of the victims had been wearing a seat belt.
The woman, identified as Sharlene Bauptista, 34, of the city's Roslindale neighborhood, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say 25-year-old Amaurys Objio and 25-year-old Jose Danny Baez, both of Roslindale, were both hospitalized in serious condition.
Police determined that the vehicle hit the median barrier, but the crash remains under investigation.
