BOSTON - Some Republican lawmakers want to restore capital punishment in Massachusetts.
State Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei says the Republicans will file an amendment to allow the death penalty for capital murder convictions.
The sentence would apply to those found guilty of acts of terrorism, killing a law enforcement officer and for murders involving torture.
The bill goes up for debate today.
