WRENTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A dog is being blamed for starting a fire that nearly burned a family's home down to the ground.

The fire broke out on MacGougald Drive in Attleboro on Monday afternoon.  The Keegan family says that their dog,  1-year-old Zoe, has accidentally set off their stove before and it appears she did it again.  The stove lit a soccer bag next to it and sent smoke pouring throughout the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire.  Officials were alerted because a private company is tied into the home's smoke detectors.

The fire did $15,000- $20,000 in damage.

Arthur Keegan tells FOX25 that Zoe will be enrolled in obedience training.
