PROVIDENCE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Relatives of a man found dead in a Rhode Island river believe he was killed, even though the medical examiner found no evidence of foul play.
The body of 23-year-old Gregory Hart of Dedham, Mass., was found Tuesday in the Woonasquatucket River in Providence. He was last seen leaving a Providence bar early Sunday.
His sister, Victoria Hart, tells The Providence Journal she believes someone beat him up. She said her brother had a broken cheekbone and jaw, a chipped tooth, cuts on his lips and knuckles, injuries to his palm and bruises on his legs.
Providence police are treating the death as suspicious.
The family has offered a $5,000 reward for information and planned a Saturday evening vigil near the spot where the body was found.
