A Fitchburg man has been charged with child endangerment for allegedly driving drunk with three children in his van.
Leominster police say Cesar Cedeno Jr., 35, was pulled over Sunday night after running a red light.
Police noted that there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the van and that three children ages 11, 7 and 4 were inside.
Police say Cedeno failed several field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit.
Police say Cedeno admitted drinking two beers and five shots of rum at his mother's house.
Cedeno was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty on Monday to various charges, including operating under the influence and child endangerment.
