EVERETT (FOX25, myfoxboston) - Friends and family held a fundraiser for Ronnie Mason, the victim of a serious hit-and-run accident in August.
11-year-old Ronnie was hit by a car on Tileston Street on August 23rd. He suffered a torn artery and broken ribs, amongst other injuries.
Doctors said it would probably be months before Ronnie would walk again, but thanks to therapy and a lot of heart, he was back on his feet just a month after the accident.
The fundraiser was held at the Carmen A. Schiavo Club in Everett and featured musicians and a magic show.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards Ronnie's medical bills.
The driver of the car that hit Ronnie has not been found.
