An actor used his training to fend off a would-be robber on Friday morning.
26-year-old Daniel Faneuf was coming home from a night of performances at the Improv Asylum when he was attacked. The assailant used a pellet gun and threatened Faneuf with it.
The actor said that something in his training told him the robber would not pull the trigger, so he fought back, eventually pinning the robber on the ground and calling 911.
During the struggle Faneuf actually delivered a beating to his attacker, and when police came, they weren't quite sure which person was the assailant.
Cambridge police arrested a 20-year-old Cambridge man.
