EAST BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - An intruder used a tricky method to get into a store after hours. Instead of the door, that person used the roof.

Ivan Quiroz owns the Corner Mini Market on Bennington Street in East Boston.  Quiroz entered the store on Sunday to find that a intruder had cut a hole into the store's ceiling in an effort to clean the place out.

The store does not have have any surveillance cameras, but there are motion detectors.  Police believe the intruder got spooked when the alarm went off and took off, leaving a mask, crowbar and ladder behind.

They believe the intruder was targeting the store's ATM.

Quiroz says he plans to get rid of the store's ATM and add surveillance cameras this week.  He believes the intruder is the same person who robbed him twice previously.
