Lawrence man still not found after 2 weeks

LAWRENCE, Mass. (FOX25, myfoxboston) - It’s been two weeks and there is still no sign of a missing man from Lawrence who disappeared during a night out in Boston . 

Gene Losik, 25, was out for a night of fun with his friends when he vanished. He was last seen by surveillance cameras as the Marriot Long Wharf hotel at about 2:30 a.m. 

Dive teams zeroed in on Boston Harbor looking for any sign of him, but they found nothing.

Losik’s girlfriend is hoping someone will come forward with information.

“He was planning on marrying me next year. We had talked about that, so he needs to come home. That's all we can accept is him coming home,” said Caitlin McGovern.

McGovern said family and friends have created a website and Facebook page dedicated to Losik.

“People are sending stories about people who have been found two weeks later, a month later, in hospitals, so we're really hoping that's where he is,” said McGovern.

She said they have hope they’ll reunite soon.

“He is so unbelievably responsible, and conservative, and cautious. It’s just bizarre,” said McGovern.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his safe return.
