ANDOVER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - At 11-years-old, Alexa Peters is already a co-author and illustrator of a new book. Now, she's hoping to help others with it.
Alexa wrote "Cooper and Me" with her mother Monique. The book is based on Alexa's own life. It's about a girl who is nervous about her first day of school and doesn't want to go unless her dog Cooper goes with her.
The 11-year-old Andover native also illustrated the book.
"Cooper and Me" will both entertain and help others. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Happy Hearts Fund, which helps build schools in countries hit hard by natural disasters.
