CHARLESTOWN (FOX 25 / myfoxboston.com) - A man who surrendered in a standoff in Charlestown on Monday has been arraigned in court.
20-year-old Stephen Woodard’s bail was set at $200,000 at his hearing in Charlestown District Court today, where he was answering to a warrant stemming from his flight from court.
He was not arraigned on any new charges although he may face them at a later date.
Woodard, who was headed to East Boston District Court on Friday to answer to armed robbery and drug charges, bolted on foot and stole a Department of Public Works vehicle.
He surrendered to police peacefully at his Boston apartment.
He is expected to return to Charlestown court tomorrow for appointment of counsel on his pending armed robbery case.
