Man drowns at Hopkinton State Park

HOPKINTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A 35-year-old Westford man drowned Saturday evening at Hopkinton State Park after going missing from his family.

Lifeguards searched the water for the man after his family reported him missing. The man was located in approximately six feet of water.

Lifeguards brought him to shore where they performed CPR before he was transported to the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not been released.

This is the second drowning that has occurred at the Hopkinton State Park this summer. The first occurred on May 22.
