Man found stabbed in Methuen dies

METHUEN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Authorities are investigating a stabbing death in Methuen.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was found at about 7 p.m. on Thursday suffering from several stab wounds.

He was taken to Lawrence General Hospital where he died following emergency surgery as detectives waited to interview him.

Methuen police Lt. Greg Gallant tells The Eagle-Tribune that state police received a 911 call at 7:06 p.m. and informed local police.

Several potential witnesses were interviewed.
