Police looking for witnesses to shooting

Man, 24, shot to death in South End

BOSTON - Boston police say there may have been many witness to the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man on a city street.

Officers say a crowd on Shawmut Avenue gathered around the body of the victim after he was shot multiple times and fell to the ground just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

The man, who's name has not been released, was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests had been made Sunday. Police were interviewing those who were at the scene of the shooting.
