MARLBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Students at Marlborough High School have taken to Facebook in hopes of bringing back the school’s beloved assistant principal.

District officials would not give many details surrounding the departure of Adam Bakr other than he left for “personal reasons,” reports The MetroWest Daily News.

Officials did not comment on whether Bakr let voluntarily or whether he was asked to take the leave.

Students created a “Bring Bakr Back” Facebook group which features a video a student took of a sit-in demonstration staged at the school on Wednesday, reports the paper.

The group currently has 488 “Likes”, as well as an online petition with 401 signatures.
