Massachusetts gas prices down a penny

BOSTON - Gas prices in Massachusetts have inched down for the fifth consecutive week.

AAA Southern New England reported Monday that self-serve, regular gasoline fell a penny in the past week to an average of $2.62 per gallon.

That price is a dime lower than five weeks ago and two cents below the national average.

The AAA survey found a low of $2.44 and a high of $2.89 in Massachusetts.
