MENDON, Mass. - Some Mendon middle school students are facing suspension after threatening an assistant principal on Facebook.

According to the Milford Daily News, the students set up a group page called, "If 1,000 People Join This Group, I'll Slap Mrs. Meyer."

The message was referring to Ann Meyer, assistant principal of Miscoe Hill School.

Superintendent Antonio Fernandes told the newspaper he was not certain, but thought school officials discovered the group from a student who came forward.

Police say criminal charges may also be filed.

The incident remains under investigation.
