NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (FOX25, myfoxboston) - A Northampton man accused of setting a string of fires in the city that resulted in two deaths is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court.

Anthony Baye is expected to appear before a judge in Hampshire Superior Court on Monday to answer to a 44-count indictment that includes two counts of murder, four counts of burning a dwelling and 14 counts of burning a motor vehicle.

Prosecutors allege that the 25-year-old Baye set a series on fires in the early morning hours of Dec. 27, including one that killed 81-year-old Paul Yeskie Sr. and his son, 39-year-old Paul Yeskie Jr.

Baye was arrested Jan. 4 and has pleaded not guilty in connection with the fatal fire in district court.
