BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A New Hampshire couple was shocked to find a photo of a young girl naked from the waist down in a Parenting newsletter.

A local man and his wife subscribe to the Parenting.com e-mail newsletter, which is part of the magazine Parenting.

A recent newsletter showed a young child playing in an open suitcase with her genitals clearly exposed. The man alerted the magazine to the photo and then received this statement from Parenting expressing regret for running the photo:

"Hello, Thank you for getting in touch to express concern over the unquestionably inappropriate photo which mistakenly appeared in our most recent newsletter. The staff of Parenting.com deeply regrets the unintentional inclusion of this image, a photograph taken by a professional photographer and intended to be cropped for appropriate viewing.

We have taken every step necessary to remedy this issue to the fullest possible extent. The photo has been permanently removed from this edition of the "Holiday Hints" newsletter, as well as the Parenting.com photo database. We genuinely value and share your concern over this issue, and assure you that every step has been taken to prevent an error of this magnitude from occurring in the future.

Sincerely,
Parenting.com staff"

The exact number of subscribers to Parenting.com's newsletter is unknown.  The photo has been removed from the newsletter, the Parenting.com website and their photo archives.
