BOSTON - Three teens are under arrest after police say they punched and kicked a woman and snatched her cell phone in the middle of the day.
The victim, who is deaf, didn’t back down though. Witnesses said after the teens stole her cell phone and then antagonized her, she chased after them, and was later able to identify them to police.
The woman was robbed in the area of Dorchester and Ward streets at noon on Thursday. An officer performing a paid detail in the area saw the suspects running, and officers were able to track them down.
Police said the boys were sweaty and out of breath when they were being questioned, and one of them dropped the woman’s cell phone on the ground.
Kevin Porter, 17, of Boston, Richie Williams, 17, of Boston and a 16 year-old male from Boston were arrested after the victim identified them. They have been charged with unarmed robbery.
