RI soldier Kyle J. Coutu killed in Afghanistan

    PAWTUCKET, Mass. - A 20-year-old soldier from Rhode Island, Pfc. Kyle J. Coutu, has been confirmed dead in Afghanistan.

    The Providence Journal reports Coutu, from Pawtucket, was killed during combat operations in Helmand Province.

    Coutu graduated in June from William E. Tolman High School. He was the captain of the football and wrestling teams, the newspaper reports.

    A Facebook tribute page was set up for Coutu .
