FOX25, myfoxboston - Recent high profile cyberbullying cases have some Massachusetts residents considering prosecution for the assailants.
A recent poll found some 61 percent of voters support making bullying a crime.
Forty-eight percent believe parents of students who relentlessly taunt and harass other students should be punished.
Lawmakers are weighing measures to address the problem.
This comes after South Hadley High School freshman Phoebe Prince committed suicide. She was allegedly bullied online by some of her classmates.
