State trooper hurt in crash

QUINCY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A Massachusetts state trooper has been taken to a hospital after he lost control of his cruiser and crashed in Quincy this morning.

The cruiser sideswiped a utility pole and a parked vehicle, then hit a second utility pole head-on at the intersection of Billings and Atlantic streets.

The unidentified trooper suffered minor injuries in the crash and has been taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.

No one else was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
