HENNIKER, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston) - A former day care teacher faces criminal charges that allege she lied about her credentials on a job application.
Raven Rossmiller, 29, of Hillsborough, allegedly told a Henniker day care center she had the certifications and training to be a lead teacher at the facility. She was charged with false academic documentation, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police would not release the name of the school, but described it as a day care center. Officials hired Rossmiller before discovering the discrepancy.
This was not Rossmiller’s first teaching job. She also taught kindergarten at The Kiddie Academy in Windham from August 2005 to April 2010. Academy director Karen Zalzal says the criminal charges were not brought by the Kiddie Academy against Rossmiller.
Rossmiller was arrested and released on $500 personal recognizance bail. She is expected back in court Nov. 30.
