Teenager drowns at Lakeville golf club

LAKEVILLE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - An 18-year-old college student drowned Friday morning while cutting grass at a golf club in Lakeville.

Greg Misdoulakis was mowing grass at the Back Nine Golf Club when the ride-on tractor he was on fell into about five feet of water.

The District Attorney’s office said Misdoulakis was pinned under water by the tractor. He was discovered about 20 minutes after the incident.

He was transported to Morton Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:58 a.m.

The DA’s office said an autopsy is pending, but the incident appears to be a tragic accident.

Misodoulakis was a freshman at UMass Amherst. He's a graduate of Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville, where he ran track and cross country.
